So, what’s this Website about?

The short version…it exists, so I can have my say.

The longer version…

To call out what I see as a drip, drip, drip of propaganda and misinformation intended to mislead us into accepting what we would readily reject, if we fully understood the ramifications. My first article, ’The Crating Craze, Convenient, Cheap & Cruel,’ challenges the dominant narrative within the pet industry that routine crating is humane and safe.

Billions, over a wide spectrum of species, are locked in some form of container limiting their movements for much, if not all, of their lives. ‘The Crating Craze’ is about the species most of us share our homes with, dogs, and the metal and plastic crates we use to warehouse them. In North America, it is the norm to crate dogs. The harm they suffer from being imprisoned against their will is an inconspicuous, but insidious, epidemic sweeping North America. Because I owe dogs for a lifetime of loyalty and companionship I wrote this for them. I believe every dog lover can benefit from reading this. Please share so others too, can decide for themselves if they wish to continue crating their dogs.
